Hosted by Dzifa Benson, there are two features this month, each followed by a Q&A session.
First, Cath Drake – an award winning journalist, originally from Australia whose poetry is spiky and quietly sensuous. She has published poems in anthologies and magazines in the UK, US and Australia. Last year she wrote and performed two seasons of a spoken word show with the Thea-poets in two theatres in London. Cath’s reading is dedicated to the memory of Jill Midolo.
Then we have Jane Holland who received an Eric Gregory Award for her poetry in 1996. Since then she has published five collections of poetry, her first with Bloodaxe, and her most recent – Camper Van Blues (2008) – with Salt Publishing. Her first novel, Kissing the Pink, was published by Sceptre, and she is currently writing a historical novel set in Tudor times. Jane has written widely for literary journals and websites for the past decade, and is a Commissioning Editor at Salt Publishing, where she also edits the online arts journal Horizon Review.
