A Room Inside a Room: An evening of wit, warmth and wisdom from London Buddhist Centre poetry and prose writers Maitreyabandhu, Cath Drake, Paul Gapper, Manjusiha and Vishvantara.

7.30pm, Saturday 16th November at the London Buddhist Centre, 51 Roman Rd, London, E2 0HU. Entry by donation (proceeds to the Vajrasana retreat centre project)

**Maitreyabandhu’s first full-length poetry collection ‘The Crumb Road’ (Bloodaxe) was published in 2013. He has won the Keats-Shelley prize, the Basil Bunting award, the Geoffrey Dearmer prize and the Ledbury Festival Competition.

**After starting writing seriously in 2004, in 2009 Paul Gapper won the Spread The Word Novel Pitch competition, and in 2013 the Cornerstones new novel competition.

**Australian Cath Drake is a writer, performer and originator of curious creative projects (http://cathdrake.com). She was shortlisted for the Venture poetry award and awarded an Arts Council grant in 2012.

**Manjusiha (Simon Okotie)’s novel ‘Whatever Happened to Harold Absalom?’ was published by Salt in 2012. His first novel was a runner up for the Saga prize for black British fiction.

**Vishvantara’s poetry has been published in many magazines and anthologies. She has won the Poetry London competition and was twice commended in the National Poetry Competition.
